Mirko Pedrotti, graduated in 2007 in percussion at the "FA Bonporti" Music Conservatory in Trento and subsequently specialized with honours at the "E. F. Dall'Abaco" Music Conservatory in Verona with Saverio Tasca. In March 2013 he also completed a degree in Jazz Music at the Trento Conservatory under the guidance of Roberto Cipelli and Robert Bonisolo.
He regularly collaborates with various orchestras and national theatres including the Teatro alla Scala (MI), Orchestra of the Arena di Verona (VR), Haydn Orchestra (BZ), Filarmonica della Scala (MI), Orchestra Regionale Toscana (FI), I Pomeriggi musicali (MI), among others.
Alongside his classical music studies, he has always dedicated time to modern music, studying with experts such as Dave Samuels, Saverio Tasca, Andrea Dulbecco, Leigh Howard Stevens, Mike Quinn, David Searcy, Edoardo Giachino.
In 2014 and in 2013 he was voted among the top 10 Italian vibes for "Jazzit Awards" , a referendum organized by the magazine JAZZIT. With his quintet won the first prize at the Barga Jazz Contest in 2013 and the second in the Baronissi Jazz contest in 2013.
In recent years Pedrotti has dedicated himself intensely to composition, developing a musical language that draws on twentieth century classical tradition (especially as regards the rhythmic aspect), reshaping it into a personal underground style.
